In Psycho poster you can tell it might be
based in a hotel by the way it has the small text on top of the poster. This
can be seen as ironic as the person looks like its crying for help show the
complete opposite of someone being “relaxed”. The black framing shows darkness
in this poster, it can also show isolation from everyone. The person is centred
which could mean they are the main character in the film . The person is naked
and therefore looks venerable to anything. The hands look like the person is
trying to escape and its scared of what may be behind them. The red could
represent blood coming from the person or danger. Psycho is split because it
could represent both personality of a person.

The was are decayed meaning no one has been there for a long time. It also adds shadow and dark walls can emphasise the emptiness of the room. The doll is staring at the audience, this is to engage with the audience and draw them in. The domestic women creates mystery to the movie. The everyday child told and the typical rocking chair mean the audience can relate to some of the props. The “based on a true case files” it trying to scare the audience
The saw is a clear indication to the name of the film. It can also mean the saw is in full control as it hold the 3 rotting teeth that looks like it been their for ages. You an tell by the discolouring, The bloodstains on the teeth could mean the teeth have been pulled out by someone which show torture in the poster. The “W” in saw looks like a pitch fork that can be related to the devil. At the bottom there's an anchor which refers to the teeth.
